                program in sustainable project design: panama

                What: an intensive program where YOU design 
                   life-saving projects and put them into action
                Where: Portobelo, Panama
                When: March 24th-April 1st, 2012
                Who: anyone wanting to make a difference and
                    teach communities to solve their own problems
                How much: $1,200 for all in-country expenses
                  and project materials, not including flights to/from Panama

                Detailed program description


                Potential project topics: water sanitation, personal hygiene, waste disposal, solar/wind energy, nighttime lighting, latrines, central water distribution, disease transmission reduction, sustainable farming innovation

                itinerary*

                Day 1: Arrive in Panama City, Panama

                Day 2: Sightseeing in historic Casco Viejo and the Miraflores Locks


                Day 3: Rainforest hike and travel to project site;
                program orientation

                Day 4 to Day 7: Community project in Portobelo; evening
                discussion and lessons

                Day 8:  Wrap up projects and travel back to Panama City

                Day 9: Depart Panama City
