Our goal: sustainable, healthy communities
Clean Water Access InitiativeFuture Scientist brings clean water to off-the-grid homes. Our Clean Water Access Initiative distributes chlorination kits, teach proper water treatment, and collect data on diarrheal diseases and water contamination. Instructions for using our kit and a training video can be found on our Resources Page. At less than $1 per kit, your donations are making a positive change in Panama!

Composting for a Healthy CommunityTrash is second only to drinking water as the most frequently mentioned challenge faced by towns. With the growth of commerce in the region, we are tackling trash buildup first through reducing waste by composting organic matter from households and businesses. We engage high school students to design better ways to more quickly compost and then scale up the best approaches.

Self-Solving InitiativeWhy not have the students and other community members come up with solutions to the problems they face each and every day? And not only that, but why not find ways to solve those problems for their neighbors? We are started the Design for Impact Competition at the Portobelo colegio to empower students to solve the problems they experience, and we are now expanding this design-based approach to other towns across Panama. Read about how the inaugural class is designing solutions for their communities.
